Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms form a contract between you and FlightdeckQ for access to flightdeckq.com, its member area, question banks, study guides, analytics and related services (the “Service”). FlightdeckQ is an independent pilot-learning platform developed by airline pilots at HKPAPA. By creating an account, using the Service or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Educational and Non-Operational Use Disclaimer.

If you do not agree, do not use or purchase the Service. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. If local law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use the Service only with that consent.

2. Personal educational licence

FlightdeckQ grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial education during the period in which you have access.

You must not:

• use the Service to operate, dispatch, maintain or make a safety-critical decision about an aircraft;
• deliver commercial training, classroom instruction, consultancy, examinations or paid study services using FlightdeckQ content;
• copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, sell, sublicense, share credentials, circumvent access controls or build a competing question bank or model from the Service;
• probe, disrupt, reverse engineer or misuse the Service, except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by law; or
• upload material you do not have the right and authority to provide.

Reasonable personal notes and ordinary browser caching are permitted. All other rights are reserved.

3. Aviation and training boundary

Aircraft configuration, effectivity, software, engine installation, operator procedures and source revisions vary. Content may be incomplete, outdated, simplified or wrong. Always use current documents and instructions approved by your aircraft manufacturer, operator, approved training organisation and regulator. If FlightdeckQ conflicts with an approved source, the approved source controls.

FlightdeckQ does not guarantee any examination, interview, type-rating, simulator, line-check, employment, licensing or operational outcome.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials and devices secure, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law or enforce these Terms.

5. Plans, payment and renewal

Free features may be changed or withdrawn. Paid plans apply only to the aircraft type and term identified at checkout. Prices, currency, billing interval and renewal date are shown before purchase. Unless the checkout says otherwise, a paid plan renews automatically for the same interval at the then-disclosed price until cancelled.

You authorise Wix and its payment providers to charge the chosen payment method. FlightdeckQ does not store full payment-card details. Taxes, foreign-exchange charges and issuer fees may apply.

Paid fees are generally non-refundable. Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 30 days before the renewal due date. Full details and legally required exceptions appear in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Availability, changes and data loss

We aim to provide a dependable Service, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, security events, internet or vendor failure, source changes and technical faults may cause interruption, delay, corruption or loss of content, attempts, bookmarks, reports, readiness records or other data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlightdeckQ does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent retention, compatibility, accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or that defects will always be corrected. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We may add, remove or change features and content where reasonably necessary, while honouring non-excludable rights and paid access obligations.

7. Intellectual property and third-party names

FlightdeckQ and its original interface, question wording, explanations, study structures, graphics and software are protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party names, marks and source materials remain the property of their respective owners.

FlightdeckQ is not affiliated with, authorised, approved, endorsed, sponsored or certified by Airbus, Boeing or any airline. Manufacturer names and aircraft designations identify the subject matter of independent study content only. References to manuals are for source verification and do not grant ownership, approval or operational status.

8. User reports and feedback

You may report a suspected error or send feedback. You retain ownership of original material you submit, but give FlightdeckQ a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and adapt it as necessary to investigate, improve and secure the Service. Do not include confidential operator information, proprietary manual extracts or unnecessary personal data.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and request account closure as described in the Account Closure and Data Deletion Process. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically erase the account. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, unlawful conduct, security risk or conduct that harms the Service or other users. Clauses intended by their nature to survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and dispute terms—continue to apply.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to that sentence, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, FlightdeckQ and its owners, personnel and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential loss; loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill, employment, qualification, data or use; aviation, training or operational decisions; or loss arising from reliance on content, service interruption, unauthorised access or third-party systems.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlightdeckQ’s total aggregate liability arising from the Service or these Terms is limited to the fees you actually paid FlightdeckQ for the affected subscription during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This allocation of risk is an essential basis of the Service. Any limitation applies only to the extent it is fair and reasonable and enforceable under applicable law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Subject to any mandatory right you have under the law of your place of residence, the Hong Kong courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

12. General

If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains effective. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent; we may transfer it as part of a genuine reorganisation, financing or sale, subject to applicable law. Headings are for convenience only.

We may update these Terms for legal, security or Service changes. Material changes will be notified reasonably in advance where practicable. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply; if you do not agree, cancel before they take effect.
