Before you request deletion

Cancel paid renewals first.

Account deletion does not by itself guarantee that an active subscription has been cancelled. Open Account & Billing and cancel each paid plan at least 30 days before renewal, then keep the confirmation.

Download or record anything you want to keep. Closure is intended to be irreversible: access, attempts, bookmarks, reports and personalised readiness history may not be recoverable.

How to close your account

  1. Email the address below from the email used for your FlightdeckQ account.
  2. Use the subject FlightdeckQ Account Closure.
  3. State that you want the account closed and personal data deleted. Include your account email and, if you have paid plans, the aircraft plan and order reference.
  4. Complete any reasonable identity-verification step. We will never ask for your password or full payment-card number.
  5. We will acknowledge the request, identify any subscription that still requires cancellation and confirm when closure is complete.

What closure does

Once verified and processed, closure disables member access and schedules personal data no longer required for deletion or irreversible anonymisation. This normally includes the member profile, account-linked learning attempts, bookmarks, personalised analytics, question reports and support data that has no continuing purpose.

We aim to complete the active-system deletion or anonymisation within 30 days after verification. Residual encrypted backups may remain inaccessible until overwritten through the normal backup cycle, normally within 90 days.

What may be retained

We may retain the minimum data necessary to comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations; prevent fraud and enforce security; document cancellation, consent or a privacy request; resolve a payment dispute or legal claim; or establish, exercise or defend legal rights. Transaction and related compliance records may be retained for up to seven years or longer where law or an active claim requires it.

Retained data is restricted to that purpose and is not used to continue personalised learning or optional marketing. Published question content in Cloudflare D1 is not member data and is unaffected by account closure.

Other privacy requests

You do not need to close the account to request access to your personal data, correct inaccurate data or opt out of direct marketing. Email “FlightdeckQ Privacy Request” with the specific request. See the Privacy Policy for further details.
