Know this before you start
Your task
Intercept a fictional runway localizer and adjust vertical speed to follow a modelled three-degree glide path.
Keep in mind
Large corrections can create oscillation. Wind changes groundspeed and therefore the descent rate required for a given path.
Technique & worked examples
Use small bank changes toward the localizer indication and review vertical deviation separately. The model starts eight nautical miles south of a fictional runway.
Session format & results
Bank, vertical-speed and airspeed sliders; optional wind. Fictional signals, no terrain, no radio tuning and no flare. Not an approved flight-training device.
Review the debrief before repeating. Compare attempts using the same device and settings. Local results are practice measurements, not official scores or predictions of selection.
Controls, fullscreen & privacy
Use on-screen controls or the keyboard shortcuts shown in the exercise. Full screen is available after starting and expands only the exercise; devices without browser fullscreen use focus mode. Finishing or leaving returns you to the site.
